REFLECTION WEEK 1

This first week, I went to the class as usual like the last semester. Obviously, I am still not ready to open my eyes as wide as would be prudent but thinking of all the knowledge that I would gain for this new semester make me exited to go through this semester. Thinking of new courses, new lecturer and new knowledge that I could get.

As usual, my friends, Faizul and Ammar including myself is the late trio. We were late to almost all the morning class as we struggle to wake up early in the morning. This problem is almost incurable to three of us. We went to Miss Amreet class little late but Miss Amreet forgive us because its the first class and our excuses not knowing the class venue safe us this time. We began our class by introducing ourselves. Later she ask who the group leader is. We told Miss Amreet that Khairulanwar is our class representative.
Me and Khairul ( group representative a.k.a group leader a.k.a "ketua kelas" )

Miss Amreet began to introducing the course to us. She then explain all the coursework that we need to complete within this 14 weeks of lecture. The way she explain it makes us very excited to know more about all the assignment as she told us that all the assignment would increase our knowledge based on multimedia and the web itself.

Miss Amreet explaining the course to her student.

At the end of class, Miss Amreet let us know that she will divide some of our classmate to make Group C as we are  going to utilize the lab for this course. She needs to work through our works separately in the class. I simply trust that I would get a high pointer for this subject. I trust I can do well in this subject and inspire myself past the cutoff in light of the fact that nobody else is going to do it for me.

MY FRIEND

Close friendships are hard to come by these days. In an ever-changing world with people striving to achieve their interpretation of preordained success, it is hard to know who your true friends are. Fortunately, I found my best pal early at the tender age of seven. We were both enrolled at the same school and were at wits’ ends as we searched tirelessly for our designated classes.

Ammar and I got acquainted as both of us were in the same class and sat next to each other. Ammar was a happy boy who always managed to breathe fresh air into the sometimes arid classroom. She always knew what to say and would voice them at the best possible moments. Both pupils and teachers alike enjoyed his company and liveliness. There was hardly ever a dull moment when he was around with her funny quips and expressions.

Ammar was born with a silver spoon. His father was a businessman and his mother owned and ran a boutique. Both his parents were very caring towards him as he, just like I, was the only child of the family. Ammar came to school each day with a perpetual smile. He was a very nice person to be around with. He and I used to go everywhere together and both of us were rarely seen apart. We used to talk about so many things as we walked, thoroughly enjoying our time together.

One day, I went to school and forgot to ask my parents for lunch money. At first, I was not hungry and thought I could bear going without a meal but soon, my stomach began to growl. Without asking, Ammar generously paid for my meal and drinks during recess. The incident revealed to me how lucky I was to have such a caring and compassionate friend.

Currently, Ammar and I are studying at different university. It was hard to be apart at first, but technology in the form of instant messaging and e-mails have helped to bridge the gap in our friendship. I sincerely wish our friendship will never end as it would be equivalent to waking up from a beautiful dream.

MY FAMILY

Have you ever been influenced by some important person that helped you be the person that you are today? I have been. The people that have had influence on me are the most important humans beings, my family. But before I begin talking about my family, I want to describe to you the place that we spend most of the time together which also means something important to me and my family. This place is called the family room. This room is small but cozy. It is painted in white and has three windows decorated with beautiful curtains. By the windows you can appreciate a nice view of some beautiful trees and a nice pool. On the walls there are some family photos like the ones that show where my brothers and I were born, my graduation photo, some family members photos like my grandparents, and some paintings made by one of my brothers. Also inside this room there is a nice home theater that includes a nice stereo and TV, and a new compact computer. But this is not all, this room has some very comfortable furniture and I can say that they are comfortable because I use them to watch TV, a movie, or just sit and rest. Also the furniture is used by my brothers to sit and play nitendo, to study, or play with the computer. But from all this furniture there is one chair that is the most cozy chair that I have ever sat upon and that is my father's chair. So this is our room, which is very important to us and has a lot of special things, but the most special part of this room is when it brings my family together.

I could begin the book of my life with a picture of my parents. They are important because they helped in my development. Also, they gave me the things that I needed to grow up in the moment that I needed and they still gave me everything that I needed to become somebody in the future. Among these things is the education that I have received all in my life, my basic needs like food, clothes, medicine, a place to live, and the most important thing, the love. Like for example, by being there when I needed somebody to talk to and giving me speeches when I do something wrong. Also, they care for me when I am sick and they give me the necessary things to get better. They teach me good values like how to behave, to respect other people, and to share with other people. Sometimes they push me in certain directions and have high expectations for me, but now I really appreciate everything they have taught me. I understand why they do certain things and it is because my parents want the best for me. On certain occasions I get mad, but later appreciate their words of wisdom and understand. My parents are wonderful.

Now, about the rest of my family, my two brothers all I can say is that they are wonderful, too. With them I have learned to share, to have fun, and to understand different points of view in different situations. They are younger than me, but that doesn't matter because sometimes people think that because they are older they know everything and that is not true, we can learn from those younger than us too. Also I have shared moments in which we laughed, or we get sad, but there are always moments that I will remember.

In conclusion families made the difference in many of the situations that life gives you and without them you would be unable to give the love and support to your children need which they need to become mature and responsible adults. Thanks to my family today I can said all of these things to other people.

MYSELF

Assalamualaikum wbt ……. J

This is the first entry for this blog and I’ll try to make it short. Even though creating this blog is only for our assignment purpose but I’ll update it as this is my first blog and I wish I’d got to learn something new by “blogging”.

My name is Muhammad Hazwan Bin Mohamad Shaupi and by the time I’m writing this I’m 19 years and 4 month old. I’m from Pahang, Malaysia but currently stay in Tanjung Malim, Perak furthering my study. I’m a Diploma in English student at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.

I’m trying to make my life as simple as I can. Befriend with everyone from any courses they are and avoid from making any enemy because for me, I think the enemy will ruin my student life. I’ve my own reputation and I will take care of it. I couldn’t afford my reputation that I’d build so far ruined by some scumbag enemy.

Okay. Forget the paragraph above. I had born in Kuantan. I live in Kuantan. I started my primary school in Kuantan. I continued to secondary school in Kuantan. The reason I repeat Kuantan many time because I love Kuantan. My very existence is all about Kuantan.

Let me tell a story. When I registered to UPSI, I got many friends from different state. They always asked me why I didn’t speak like any Pahanese and why I’m using Kelantan and Terengganu’s slang. Even I didn’t realised that. Maybe because Kuantan is very close to Terengganu. That’s why. My father and grandmother came from Kelantan and they had influenced me in the way of slang. I didn’t even know how to speak in Pahang’s slang.

Actually, there’s nothing interesting with my life. I’m just ordinary person that always make mistakes like other. Sometimes I feel like a wrecking ballllll (sing instead of just reading).

Okay that’s all. I’m done here. May peace be upon you. :)
